Submission
of papers for review We aim to review and publish accepted papers as quickly as possible depending on our publishing schedule - which is usually very busy. Abstracts of forthcoming papers are also available on the Springer-Verlag LINK system link.springer.de which means that your paper is available to subscribers to the journal well before the print copy is produced. Request a sample copy of Personal and Ubiquitous Computing. Submission of final copy for accepted papers If we accept your paper we will ask you for an editable version in Microsoft Word using the springer journal templates. Format The first page should give the title of paper and author(s)' names and addresses (in the case of multiply-authored papers, affiliations should be clearly marked: correspondence, proofs and offprints will be sent to the first-named author, unless otherwise requested). The body of the paper should be preceded by an abstract of 150 words describing the the paper, and be followed by up to six keywords for indexing. The remainder of the paper should be divided into decimally-numbered sections and subsections starting at section 1. Line drawings: TIFF, EPS, JPEG or GIF, 1000 dpi minimum of 85mm wide. Halftones: TIFF, EPS or JPEG, embedded fonts, minimum of 300dpi, minumum size 85mm wide. Tables: should be included in the electronic text in the place they are to appear, and should be numbered consecutively. General guidelines Original submissions are invited which will be subject to conventional peer-review and expected to meet exacting standards of excellence. There is no maximum or minimum length for submissions. Submissions should not have been published elsewhere or be currently under consideration by another journal. It is the first author's responsibility for ensuring that the submission has been approved by co-authors and that all neccessary permissions have been secured. The editor retains the right to modify the style and length of a submission and to decide the time of publication, in consultation with authors. Authors should retain a copy of their submission as no responsibility is accepted for loss or damage. No submission will be returned following publication. On acceptance, copyright will be transferred to the publisher.
